Roof Cleaning
A clean roof isn't just cosmetic — the same streaks, moss, and algae that dull its appearance can quietly shorten its life.
Black streaks on asphalt shingles are usually a type of algae (often called Gloeocapsa magma) that feeds on the limestone filler in shingles. Left untreated, it can trap moisture against the shingle surface and accelerate granule loss.
Moss is a bigger concern than it looks — its root structure lifts shingle edges as it grows, creating gaps where wind-driven rain can get underneath.
Our cleaning process uses a low-pressure, roof-safe treatment (never a high-pressure wash, which can strip granules and void manufacturer warranties) to remove buildup without damaging the shingle surface underneath.
